anniversary

One year ago today, Lily and I got married. We decided to celebrate this with a backpacking trip along an unexplored section of trail.

Yesterday afternoon, as we ascended the Overmountain Victory and Appalachian Trails through pristine mountain pastures and overgrown apple orchards, Lily remarked that we play well together. I couldn't agree more.

We often understand each other without speaking a word. We don't mind a rainy hike or sharing tent space with a wet dog. We already have many wonderful memories shared together and I look forward to many more. Happy anniversary, my love.
