ode to ida (pt. 2)

Clearly this evening on Ida
A cold wind has stripped the canopy bare.
Uncloaked, the panoramas unfold.
Distracted, I slip
Up a steep blanket of burnt umber.
Topography unveiled,
I laugh and slip again.
Rejoicing and renewed
In this crisp primeval urgency.

Hey Matt,

Per FKT courtesy, I wanted to let you know that I'll be making an attempt to complete the FHT this coming Monday. If all goes well, I hope to be near or faster than your time, even though it's just my first attempt.

By the way, I really enjoyed reading about your MTS adventure this summer.

Keep on running-
